This one comes closest to the painting, I think. It would help if I could shoot from a higher vantage point . A ladder in the bed of my pickup might do...
That's me on my '77 bonny, with my nephew Casey on back. He was 3 1/2 years old then, in the summer of '82. He's 27 now, the same age I am in the pic. At the cottage in July or August, Kincardine, Ont.
I saw this painting in the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal. I recognised the area, and wondered how it might look today. My photos were taken from the scenic lookout on Sydenham rd. in Flamborough. It's interesting to see the changes.
I love everything about this bike. I love the way it looks, the way it sounds, the way it takes me anywhere I want to go. Mostly I love how I feel when I'm riding the Triumph - like I own the world!
Sometimes I can't decide if I'm taking a pic of the bike, or trying to make it a part of a larger idea... The front wheel should be canted more to the right.
I figured it was such a nice day, I'd take a few of the Triumph. The fill flash on camera didn't work, so I Picassa's. It lends a rather unnatural, surreal look.
